About Jojo Ryder
Jojo Ryder is an American movie and television producer, writer, and director. With a filmography of over 27 projects, Ryder has established himself as a major player in Hollywood. It all started in the early 2000's with the hit reality show Bad Girls Club for the Oxygen network. The show was an instant success and landed Ryder in a partnership with platinum recording artist Ray J. This partnership proved to be a game changer as the pair struck gold with "For The Love of Ray J". The show featured on VH-1 in 2009 and ran for two seasons.In an ingenious effort to keep the momentum going, Jojo recruited R&B legend Brandy to partner up with brother Ray J for "Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business". The show garnered 1.5 million viewers and is recognized as one of the most successful reality shows in television history.
The following year, Jojo worked with Adrien Brody, Hayden Christensen, Jordana Brewster to produce his first featured film, "American Heist". The action-drama was released by Lionsgate on July 24, 2015 and is currently streaming on Amazon Video.
In 2015 Jojo partnered up with Senegalese American singer, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur Akon to produce Incorruptible. The 94 minute documentary focused on the 2011 political attack on the Senegalese democratic system. The project was featured in the Los Angeles Film Festival, African Film Festival, Full Frame Documentary and Film Festival, and the Toronto Film Festival. The documentary was met with rave reviews by several national and international media platforms.
In 2021 Ryder decided to take his talents to Facebook with the fashion designer, mother, and business women Tina Knowles Lawson. The show titled "Talks With Mama Tina", is centered around intimate conversations in the vibrancy and warmth of Ms. Tina Knowles Lawson’s home. This project has positioned Jojo at the forefront of Facebooks pioneering video on-deman service.
